Friday Recap - OT Thrillers!

The weather made this spring hockey tournament feel a bit like winter, but in our great hockey nation a little bit of snow isn't going to get in the way of our game! 

Terwillegar Rec Centre was jam packed for day 1, seeing some unbelievable goals, back bending saves and a lot of smiles leaving the 4 arenas. Strong performances in each division, setting the stage for some interesting matchup's on Saturday as teams jockey for position. 

With the new addition of overtime/shootout in the round robin we saw some fantastic hockey and exciting action, with three games needing extra time. Two were decided in the 3 v 3 overtime period while the final game of the day went all the way to the wire in the shootout.

With lots of hockey left to be played and 6 division cups to be lifted, the rest of the weekend at the AAA World Cup promises to bring out the best in everyone.
